PORT AUTHORITY TO CO-SPONSOR ANNUAL HOLIDAY TOY DRIVE


The Port Authority is co-sponsoring a holiday toy drive to help brighten the season for underprivileged children throughout the region.

In conjunction with Fox 5, Brookfield Financial Properties, the Hugh L. Carey Battery Park City Authority, Embassy Suites Hotel and Regal Cinemas, the Port Authority will solicit new, unwrapped toys that will be distributed to children in December. The drive began today, November 21, and concludes on Saturday, December 16.

Drop-off receptacles will be located in the World Trade Center mall between the Warner Brothers and Casual Corner stores. Receptacles also will be located in the Embassy Suites Hotel's main lobby at the corner of Vesey Street and North End Avenue, on the main and lower lobbies in One World Financial Center, in the main lobby of Stuyvesant High School, and at the Fox 5 studio, at 205 E. 67th St.

The toys will be distributed during a Holiday Party to be held at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Regal Cinema on Saturday, December 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Entertainment, toys, refreshments and a movie will be provided.
