DWI CHECKPOINTS AT HUDSON RIVER CROSSINGS THIS WEEKEND


The Port Authority Police will operate DWI checkpoints at the Holland and Lincoln tunnels and the George Washington Bridge between 10 P.M. on Friday, November 21, and 6 A.M. on Saturday, November 22.

In addition to checking vehicles and drivers, police officers will hand out safety information about the dangers of drinking and driving. Port Authority Executive Director Robert E. Boyle said, "As we enter the holiday season, we'd like to ensure that it remains a joyous one for all our customers and their families. We ask our tunnel and bridge customers: Please be cautious and conscious of other motorists. Please drive safely, and don't drink and drive."
