TRAFFIC ADVISORY -- PORT AUTHORITY PLANS CLOSINGS AT HOLLAND TUNNEL


Holland Tunnel maintenance and testing will require the tunnel to be closed to New Jersey-bound traffic early Sunday morning, October 22, and to New York-bound traffic early Sunday morning, November 5.

On Sunday, October 22, the tunnel's North Tube will be closed between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. During that time, motorists traveling from New York to New Jersey should use the Lincoln Tunnel or George Washington Bridge.

To accommodate increased traffic at the Lincoln Tunnel, the number of westbound lanes will be increased from two to four during the overnight hours.

On Sunday, November 5, the tunnel's South Tube will be closed between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. During that time, motorists traveling from New Jersey to New York should use the Lincoln Tunnel or George Washington Bridge.
