TRAFFIC ADVISORY -- BAYONNE BRIDGE TO BE CLOSED FOR 5K RUN


The Bayonne Bridge will be closed to traffic in both directions for one hour on Sunday morning, October 22, for the Second Annual Bayonne Bridge 5K Run to benefit the Bayonne Drug Abuse Resistance Education program.

The bridge will be closed between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. Motorists are asked to use the Goethals Bridge or Outerbridge Crossing during that time.

The race will begin at 8 a.m., and participants will follow a course over the 69-year-old bridge - the sister bridge to one in Sydney, Australia that received extensive coverage during the recent Summer Olympics.
