PRESS ADVISORY -- Port Authority to Host Media-Only Tour of Newark International Airport on November 17


When: Wednesday, November 17, 1999, 10:15 A.M.

Where: Newark International Airport, Terminal B, Gates 51-57

Initiatives to reduce delays at Newark International Airport, improve parking, create rail access, and increase restaurant and retail options will be the highlights of a media-only tour of the airport's $3.8 billion construction program on Wednesday, November 17, 1999, at 10:15 A.M.

The tour will provide a first-hand look at construction work on the Monorail extension, in passenger terminals and along runways.

Representatives of the Port Authority and its private partners will provide updates on the many construction projects that will upgrade access and parking at Newark Airport, improve passenger terminals and reduce aircraft delays.

The Port Authority will host a breakfast reception for members of the media beginning at 9:45 A.M. in Newark Airport's Terminal B, Gates 51-57. The program will begin there at 10:15 A.M. and is scheduled to last until shortly after noon.
