PRESS ADVISORY -- British Airways World Cargo to Convert Entire Fleet of Vehicles Handling Cargo to Cleaner-Burning Compressed Natural Gas at JFK
British Airways World Cargo will celebrate the conversion of its entire fleet of vehicles handling cargo at John F. Kennedy International Airport to cleaner-burning compressed natural gas - making it the first cargo operator at the airport to do so - at noon Friday, October 1, at its JFK facility in Building 66, Cargo Area C.
Representatives of Kingdom Group LLC, the Port Authority and KeySpan Energy also will participate in the event.
Conversion of the British Airways fleet to natural gas will help advance the Port Authority's alternative fuel vehicle program.
Tenants at the New York/New Jersey region's three major airports and other Port Authority facilities are encouraged to convert their fleets to clean alternative fuels.
