PORT AUTHORITY EXECUTIVE TO SPEAK AT FAIR LAWN, N.J., ROTARY CLUB

Joseph Bardzilowski, General Manager of the Holland Tunnel for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, will be the keynote speaker at the Sunrise Rotary Club of Fair Lawn's meeting on Tuesday, August 4. The event will take place at the Empress Diner in Fair Lawn at 7:30 A.M.

Mr. Bardzilowski, a Port Authority veteran, will speak to the group about E-ZPass, the electronic toll collection technology employed by the Port Authority other transportation agencies to make toll collection more convenient for travelers and to speed the flow of traffic.

The bistate Port Authority operates transportation and trade facilities and services vital to the economic health of the New York/New Jersey metropolitan region. Over the next several years the agency will spend more than $4 billion to rebuild JFK Airport, complete the redevelopment of LaGuardia and Newark airports, prepare its marine facilities to meet the needs of the new deep-draft containerships, and make improvements to its tunnels, bridges and PATH rail transit system.

As General Manager of the Holland Tunnel, Mr. Bardzilowski directs a professional staff responsible for the continuous operation, maintenance and security of one of the region's busiest tunnels.
