GRAMBLING UNIVERSITY MARCHING BAND TO PERFORM AT THE PORT AUTHORITY BUS TERMINAL

The world renowned Grambling University marching band -- 250 members strong -- will perform at the Port Authority Bus Terminal this Saturday, September 25, starting at 10 A.M.

The band, in full uniform, will march from the terminal's taxi roadway just off of 42nd street onto 41st Street between Eighth and Ninth avenues, where it will perform for one hour.

The band is famous for its colorful uniforms, creative marching steps, jazzy renditions of classic marching music, and the inclusion of contemporary tunes in its repertoire. After this performance the band will proceed to the Meadowlands to perform at the Grambling/Hampton football game.

The bus terminal performance is sponsored by Greyhound Lines Inc., in cooperation with The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
